Use one reviewed Payment Link per SKU when the first paid preorder opens. This keeps the first sales path simple while avoiding custom card handling.

SteelThumb will map each sellable kit to a reviewed checkout provider product before paid preorder opens. The current implementation remains interest-only while Stripe product IDs, pricing, policies, tax, shipping, refunds, and order-confirmation evidence are prepared.

Move to Checkout Sessions when order logic needs it
Use Checkout Sessions after SteelThumb needs richer order state, bundled configuration, dynamic shipping, or webhooks tied directly into the site.
Keep checkout off until launch evidence exists
No live payment link should be published until supplier quotes, policies, tax, shipping, refund flow, support routing, and specimen captures are complete.
