Terms of sale and use.

These terms frame the customer-facing sale boundary for the Grow Kit, SeedPort, and PlotTags. Paid ordering is not open until final price, included parts, excluded parts, preorder timing, cancellation rights, and safety responsibilities are shown before payment.

Offer state

Current public state is preorder interest only; paid preorder is not open
A preorder is not open until final price, deposit amount, lead time, cancellation terms, and shipping region are shown at checkout
Each product must state included parts, excluded parts, customer-provided equipment, package contents, and support contact before payment
Estimated delivery dates are estimates unless a final written commitment is made
SteelThumb may cancel and refund an order if supplier, safety, legal, or fulfillment requirements cannot be met

Customer information

Customer must provide accurate shipping, contact, and site-suitability information
Customer must review product page, quickstart, safety insert, warranty, returns, privacy, and support links before checkout
Customer must accept product-specific acknowledgements for safety, included items, excluded items, no yield or germination guarantee, and preorder delay/cancellation terms
Customer acceptance records must be stored in the checkout provider or official order system

Customer responsibility

Read the setup guide, safety page, and product-specific limits before use
Use appropriate outdoor power practices and manual shutoff around water
Inspect the garden system regularly and stop automation if behavior is uncertain
Do not rely on SteelThumb products for safety-critical, medical, commercial crop, or property-protection functions
Provide soil, seeds, plants, reservoir, power, tools, mounting location, and local installation work unless the purchased package explicitly includes them

Open hardware and brand boundary

Open hardware files do not grant the right to sell unofficial products as SteelThumb goods
Official names, logos, packaging, marketplace listings, and certification language remain reserved brand assets
Modified builds should identify themselves as unofficial or compatible, not official SteelThumb products
Open-source hardware and software rights do not create a right to use SteelThumb marks, packaging, marketplace identity, or first-party support claims

Outcome boundaries

SteelThumb can help with planning, monitoring, watering, seed-starting workflow, and garden records
SteelThumb does not guarantee germination, plant health, harvest quantity, grocery savings, crop survival, or customer garden outcomes
Seed-to-table ROI examples are educational comparisons, not a promised customer return
Customer remains responsible for local code, site suitability, weather, pests, water source, power source, and ongoing inspection
