Warranty policy draft.

SteelThumb needs a final customer warranty before paid sales. This draft defines the intended boundary for official kit components, missing parts, shipping damage, electronics, printed parts, and excluded garden outcomes.

Covered official components

  • Missing parts reported promptly after delivery should be replaced or otherwise resolved
  • Shipping damage should be reviewed with photos of the package, goods, and label
  • Defective official Grow Kit irrigation fittings, PlotTags pieces, SeedPort parts, or official kit components should have a replacement path during the stated warranty window once approved
  • Electronics, printed parts, labels, irrigation consumables, and packaging may have different coverage windows and remedies

How support should work

  • Customer starts with the support contact published at purchase or in the package insert
  • Support may ask for order reference, SKU/version, batch/date code, photos, setup description, and a safety stop confirmation
  • Replacement parts are preferred over full-kit returns when a limited part solves the issue
  • Safety-sensitive water, pump, heat, light, or electrical cases must follow the safety escalation path before restart advice

Likely exclusions

  • Water damage from incorrect setup, leaks, unattended operation, or missing containment
  • Incorrect wiring, unsafe power setup, incompatible pumps, or non-GFCI use around water
  • Modified hardware, unofficial firmware, third-party parts, or unsupported operating conditions
  • Seeds, plants, soil, germination outcomes, yields, harvest value, or crop loss
  • Normal wear, cosmetic outdoor aging, weather exposure beyond the approved material boundary, and customer-provided equipment
