Field Demo 001: Turning the garden into a digital twin

Today's goal was to ship the first complete SteelThumb field demo slice: a garden reference image, a digital twin preview, a manual grow-area map, plant IDs, notes, and projected overlays.

What the demo proves

The semantic garden twin is the product spine.

The shipped slice proves the clickable chain: garden area -> stable plant ID -> note, task, and history. The page is not claiming live autonomy. The reconstruction pipeline is described as the next build layer.

Next engineering step

Replace proxy visuals with promoted field media and keep the same semantic data contract.

The MVP architecture deliberately keeps the semantic model separate from the visual layer. A real photo, a WebGL proxy, or a Gaussian splat can all point at the same GrowArea, PlantInstance, PlotTag, Device, Observation, and Task records.
